Wolf Den Retrievers LLC is a small, home-based professional kennel on 15 acres- located near the North Shore of Lake Superior- approximately 7 miles north- east of Duluth, Minnesota.
The Duluth Retriever Club grounds are approximately 1.5 miles from our front door.
Wolf Den has been devoted to breeding the best possible American Pointing and flushing Labradors possible- since 1989. Our goals are to build better dogs that are a credit to the historic breed.
At the Den, we raise, breed and train dogs. We keep seasonal ducks, pigeons and pheasants that are utilized for professional training in the upland and water.
As a “teaching” kennel, can help facilitate you to bring out whatever the goals are for your dog with individualized, age-appropriate training program options.
We strive to place our dogs in homes that hunt and play the various venue “dog games” (AKC, UKC and APLA), but we also create animals that are utilized as family companions, scent detection and therapy pets.
The Labrador Retriever is the world’s most versatile dog. Its intelligence, stunning appearance, ability to adapt and train easily are some of their most amazing characteristics.
We pride ourselves with our carefully curated, time-tested bloodlines that prove themselves in overall genetic health, athleticism, loyalty, endurance, trainability, gentle demeanor and amazing marking abilities.
The climate in north-eastern Minnesota allows us to utilize the dog’s innate water-born capabilities as well as upland game talents.
